To all the friends old and new far too numerous to mention who I have made on this site a very sad goodbye. There will not be a chance to get to meet anyone now when we are on our travels. Mr. Farmer thankyou for all the good work you have done over the last few years that I have been watching your cameras. I hope to be able to carry on watching for a long time yet. Take care all. Sue n notts.

Mr and Mrs Farmer so sorry to read that the diary will no longer be available. I do hope the webcams will remain though. I stopped posting when things became a little strange and it seemed as though the diary was not being used as it should be. Many many thanks for all the pleasure you have given us and my tnanks to all the genuine people that posted on here. Still have my visit to come in October so will be looking forward to seeing everyone at Denbury again.

Mr Farmer I am so sad to read that you are stopping the forum. I have enjoyed posting and reading over the past 3 or 4 years and have taken comfort from many hours using it after my husband died. I do appreciate however that it gives you a lot of work on top of your many many farm duties.I do hope that the web cams will continue at least until the owls ospreys etc leave the nest. Please accept my sincere thanks that I send to you Mrs Farmer and all your staff for all the pleasure you have given us over the years.Goodbye to all on the forum. Val Perth

Just to say I agree with Jan and Pat re recent events - enough said! Many, many thanks for your hard work Mr Farmer. Please do keep the cams going, they bring us so much pleasure and through this site I have learned so much about the wild-life on our doorstep. I have also made a new group of friends for which I am so grateful.

Take care everyone. All the best for the future all on the forum and Mr and Mrs Farmer.

Thank you Mr & Mrs Farmer for what has been a lovely friendly forum, unfortunately a certain drama recently has made some of us very wary, & with no explanation given, decided to stop posting.
It would be lovely to be able to keep up with Denbury news on a weekly/monthly Diary with some photo's of the animals we've grown to love, if you could manage that I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated.
I'd like to say goodbye & thank you to those of you who posted to me on the forum, sharing your lives, & giving friendship & support when needed.
Best wishes to you all,
Maddi.

I too agree with Jan about a certain poster on the forum that has mislead the good people amoung us, i know it has put people off from posting, of which i believe people have aired there concerns to Mr Farmer. Also feel that there is a lack of posts due to the diary and the photos not being updated as there is nothing to talk about and feel that maybe Mr Farmer is losing interest. Wish everyone all the best for the future and take care. Vicky and Diane(my mum)

Thank you Mr & Mrs Farmer for all the entertainment you`ve given us over the years. I shall continue watching the webcams as long as they are on. Like Jan(herts), I think recent events on the forum made people very wary. I shall miss you. All the best. Pat from North Wales.

Do you mean 'Forum' closing, wondered how long it would be. I think alot of it is to do with no diary to talk about now,(not having a go at you Mr F, know how busy you must be running everything) also recent mistrust of posters, thats why I stopped posting, so much.
Thank you for keeping it going as long as you did, Mr Farmer.
Will you be updating the diary or your Twitter page, or is this finishing as well? Would be nice to hear how Thornton and horses etc are doing occ.
Hope to catch you feeding the badgers occ keep missing it as not sure what time this happens. Always watch webcams, have met some really nice people on here over the years, wish everyone well for their futures, esp Mr & Mrs F and family. Thank you for the funny moments you've brought to my dull little life.

Mr Farmer,
I along with many others I'm sure are devastated at your descision to scrap the forum. I must admit I have seen this coming, I have to say I think the lack of your diary and the gallery hasn't helped keep the forum going, although I do appreciate how much of your time it must take.
I am lucky and have my husband, but I know others on the forum consider they have made new friends and companions on there.
Would it not be possible to say allow entries on two days per week? Without the forum I then fear for the webcams, will they be the next things to go?
I appeal to you to give this some thought and perhaps allow us a couple of days to communicate.
Janice,Leeds

I too wondered why the forum is so quiet?! Where are you all?
Had a lovely day yesterday, went to Looe to visit friends who where holidaying nearby. Spent a silly hour crabbing on the riverside! Took us all back to our childhood and caused a few laughs! The sun was HOT! I now have a red nose, so should sign off as Rudolph! It's a bit dull this morning, just hope the weather holds for the wedding tomorrow!
Wake up you lot and do some posting!
Janice in Devon.

Mr Farmer have to say the lake looks lovely tonight, all blacks and blues. There seems plenty of birdlife on the water. It looks a perfectly calm evening in Somerset. Elaine

Thanks for letting us know the cider press has arrived Lorraine, just hope the cider turns out ok , as it sounds as if vicky and her family and myself and Margaret have a job to do making it !!!!!1 its going to be such fun
I used to do a lot of wine making years ago one good one was a plum wine that would have put hairs on Mr Farmers chest and another was a rice wine that would have blown his socks off!!!
Lets hope the cider is as good Hope Me Farmer has a better way of mashing the apples than the one we saw last year ha ha ha that was hilarious but effective

Hello all,
Had a busy weekend entertaining relatives all day yesterday - bit more rested today when we went to Dartmouth to survey the damage the recent fire did.It was such an awful sight, some of the nicest building completely gutted, we love Dartmouth and so hope that the buildings are restored to their former glory soon. Still having difficulty seeing the webcams, only seem to get still pictures and on some cams nothing at all, getting withdrawal symptoms now!
Just watching Countrywise, they're trapping rabbits to control the amounts, we have them in our garden here, but I love them!! We aren't able to plant any bedding plants, just shrubs, but as we're not here to water plants I'm o.k. with that, we have black rabbits, they are lovely(guess Mr Farmer may disagree with that!).
Off the visit friends who are on holiday in Looe tomorrow, then Thursday is the wedding.
Fingers crossed for the weather.

Janet and Pete, belated congratulations on your anniversary, kept meaning to post and forgot, glad that you both had a great time at Denbury.

Was looking out for the Kingfisher earlier tonight before was switched over, still not seen it this year, we don't see any here either and right by the river, just a matter of luck I guess.

Val I see you had terrible weather there today, and looked bad at LOTL as well, but they are coping very well so it seems.

Owls are getting huge. I'm guessing they may go into ring them sometime this week if not next as they're now over 5 weeks old, elder 2 anyway, youngest is 5 weeks old tomorrow. Longing to find out what sex they are.

Seeing that the cider press has arrived makes me think we should book a cider week at Denbury, we have grown to like cider especially local cider.

Janice your quiet, enjoying time here in Devon? Weather sure has been nice, much cooler now thankfully.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Claire - Exeter

We have had a very stormy day here in Perth with high winds torrential downpours and thunder. I think Mabel and the chicks have coped very well with this dreadful weather and I hope the worst is now over. Val Perth

Julia,I think I have only seen the Kingfisher once in all the years I have been watching.I have seen the one on the village stream more times just by luck driving over the bridge as he or she has been flying along.I am afraid it is sheer luck, for years I had never even seen one!
