So pleased to read that the black swan landed safely, did any of the swans pair up this year, or is it unlikely as they all came from the same place? That would be a strange sight, to see little black cignets. I like watching moorhen or coot babies, they are weird balls of fluff:)

Marlyn, what a lovely part of Scotland you are in, I have visited there a couple of times, my cousin lives in Tillycoultry.
I think there are alot of us on here who have suffered one form or other of depression, and will miss the forum, I only contribute occasionally but will still miss it as much as others. I hope Mr Farmer will continue to keep us informed of the goings on, down on the farm. Thank you.

Elaine, i am sure it was Spring Watch i heard that Black birds loose their song end of June. I should think that the Robin, you spotted is moulting too most birds loose it dont they sometime now i think it is and hide away the vain beggars. I have just come in from shopping and logged in to read the forum its heartwarming to hear i will not be the only one who Misses it, its been such a big part of my life since 2007. I was so chuffed to read a couple of comments about my posting on my Fox and my best mate our Jordan he is a godsend that boy is lol. He said to me the other night as we were chatting i dont remember the conversation but we were on about smells, then he said to me you smell Kaz, then looked up at the ceiling narrowed eyes trying to think of a better way of explaining himself, his hands gesturing like a little old man, he said yea like um um you um smell of an oldish smell, looking at me with searching eyes as to say you know what i mean. Well i was hysterical, i couldn't move for laughing. What he meant was my body lotion, or the perfume i was wearing i hope he did lol. Whilst i was shopping today at Morrison's there were loads of seagulls flying over head and quite low too scavenging i am positive i saw one come over my head carrying a rat i swear i did it was so strange to see as i could see legs and a tail dangling then i lost sight of it with some trees and others were following it making those noises they make, i said to My sister where` s Alfie lol it was like a scene from the Birds. It looks like the young osprey have fledged today and I missed it they were on the nest one minute then I changed webcams and went back and I can onlt see the female on the nest.

Hi Everyone,finding it very sad that the forum is closing down ,I havent posted in a long time but always looked forward to checking the cams and the forum everyday, It was nice to read what others had been doing. I used to like Margarets posts about the goings on in her garden, I notice you dont post much now probably due to your health problems, I hope you are keeping well Margaret. you were the first person to welcome me to the site. Hope you have a nice holiday at Denbury in October. I also enjoyed Karens posts telling us about Jordan, her dogs and the foxes she feeds. Like you I will be devastated when it goes,I do hope the cams will continue. I found this website 3 years ago and as I dont get get out much and suffer from depression I have found it a great comfort and I believe a lot of others on the forum have as well. I think with the diary and the gallery going it probably didnt help also a certain person has made some people a bit wary of posting. I know Mr Farmer is a very busy man , and I thank him for all the enjoyment he has given us over the years also thank you for the diary update about thornton and the cider press, I love reading about thonton and his exploits. Its just a pity someone else couldnt do the forum and updates for you. I would love to visit Denbury sometime and see all the animals you have talked about. And perhaps taste some of your cider. Thank you again Mr and Mrs Farmer for all your hard work and I wish you all the best for the future. Well I am starting to ramble on now so I would just like to say thank you everyone I have enjoyed reading all of your posts and I wish you all the best for the future. I am sure we would have got a reprieve with the Forum if more posted, and maybe Mr Farmer would have reconsidered, i havent given up hope till the fat lady sings. I have done all but prayed i can tell you.

I have been watching this forum and the cams for a few years now and have really enjoyed seeing bloggers. I haven't had the courage till now. I'm not good with computers and getting old.
After reading whats going on I think its very sad the forum is closing. I have really enjoyed reading what everyone has to say. I only wish I had had the courage to post a long time ago.

Ladies I also looked in on the nest earlier there were 2 chicks in the nest both snuggled down ready for bed!

I like most of you do wish Mr Farmer would reconsider his decision and keep the forum open for wildlife comments and to wish forumers a Happy Birthday.
It is the start and end of my day also I check out what I have missed whilst I am work as it is not possible for me to get online at work. I love to know what I have missed and wish I didn't have to work and could sit here all day watching the cams.Sorry Mr Farmer costs would def go up. Never mind school hols soon so I can do that!

Mr Farmer thank you very much for the entry on the diary, it was lovely to hear about Thornton, I am sure that when the cold weather returns he will be knocking at your door again. I am feeling very sad tonight as I know that I wont be able to log on and read the entries on the forum ever again.
