Mary I am sure that once Elsie (mum) returns she will let everyone know that the forum is up and running again and back to its old self again. I know that a few of the forum have her address as she has said in the past, Margaret will no doubt tell Marie. You know how word travels! Pity we can't get word to Robin. Elsie has not heard from him for a bit.
Mr Farmer thankyou for the diary again tonight, I am so glad to hear that after all your had work around the lake (electric fencing it) has finally paid off and all the goslings made it! Sorry to read that you have lost a swan. Rang Sue to tell her there's a diary again (she's still recovering from yesterday don't tell her I said that). She told me a lovely story about the lake tonight that I told her she must post it tomorrow.

Mary, Llandudno. As it was only supposed to be the forum that was finishing lets hope that Val, Rosies Mum, Penny, Betty and others will have a look at the website and out of curiosity will try the forum.
I saw the black swans and ducks by the lake tonight and was lucky enough to see Mr Farmer put the food for the badgers who then all ran out as soon as he was out of sight and were pushing and shoving one another to get to their supper. Pat. North Wales

Thankyou for the diary. I have been wondering what to contribute, and thats a good opening.
I have been watching the cameras, and have also watched the videos on you tube. I was looking in at the owls one night and did see 1 jump and try to get out a few times.
I am going to try and contribute something once a day, to get used to it.

Thank you for the Diary update, I always enjoy reading about the goings on.

Val, I hope the female is strong enough to leave for the winter, it will be interesting to see if she does when the time finally comes, to look at her now you would not think that a couple of weeks ago that it looked as if we would loose her. Bec

I am loving watching the osprey chicks venturing into the big wide world. I always find it amazing how great their wing span is.I have to agree with Karen that it is hard to believe that such a big bird came from such a small egg albeit it wasnt that big when it hatched. I am also concerned about what was said in the LOTL blog that Mabel may stay here for the winter, could she cope with a winter like the one we had 2009/2010 as it was one of our worst for a few years. I just hope that nature will take over and all will be ok.

Hi everyone there is a new Diary
8:45 Mon 12 Jul 10
Well the weather has finally cooled down a bit at last and I am hoping for some rain soon as my garden desperately needs it, as I look outside my window there are very dark rain clouds in the distance so maybe not long until some wet stuff arrives, I often wonder how the wildlife copes with these hot dry spells we have, as a local wildlife rescue centre has had a number of admissions of various wildlife suffering from dehydration. Karen, yes I guess we will never know, I've never seen anything like that illness, I remember watching one Saturday evening and not realy being able to see her breathing, I honestly thought she had gone.

So pleased she made it I just hope she returns for another season next year. Bec

Pat North Wales No I don't think will know that the forum is being used still but I will send her an email or ring her to let her know we are still here. She will be so pleased to hear that. Well better go and watch those beautiful badgers agin before they disappear quickly. Elaine

One Osprey chick appears to have flown out of camera shot, the other preening at the edge of the nest.Lindsay.
7:24 Mon 12 Jul 10
Well, I`ve just gone round the webcams and everywhere seems very peaceful. The osprey chicks are busy preening after their flying today and the lake at Denbury appears very quiet.
Karen Stoke. How right you are about the reflections in the water.
I can`t get a picture on the hatchery cam so I don`t know what`s happening there.
Elaine. Will Elsie look to see if the forum is being used? Pat. North Wales.

Karen it has been raining here also, its much nicer now so much cooler. I will try and watch those utube links later. Thanks everyone for the updates. Elaine
