Have been watching the Osprey web cam most of the evening and only one osprey has been on the nest all night. And Lady doesn't seem to be there either. Wonder if she is with the other chick waiting for dawn to return to the nest? Rosie's Mum in Toronto

9:45 EST Only two owls in the BOT nest. I can hear the third owlet outside the box squaking, but it's not on the tray. I think it must be on the barn floor.

Here is my contribution for today Mary. I did say I would try and contribute something each day.
I did notice the other day that someone here had made a remark about robins and that they might be in moult. There is a robin in my garden which I did think was injured it looks so scruffy, when it flew off I think that it must be in moult to.
I live in Crediton now. I moved here 3 years ago from London, I have travelled around as I am from an army background. I grew up in the North West after my father left the army in the late 1960s.
I wanted to ask about twitter? I have had a look it looks very complicated, do many here use it?
Thats my daily post.

Sue Yes I think I did see the newest veersion of Buster tonight! I always think that the Badger that eats from the top as we look at them is Buster as he/she always had fat cheeks. That badger always reminds me of him/her. Yes it does always bring back memories of our first year watching the cams at Denbury, seems such a long time ago now since I found them. Do you remember Willow being born, we missed that but made sure we stayed up to see Sox being delivered by Mr and Mrs Farmer. Must admit Willow is my favourite. Oh, we have seen and learnt so much on here. Thank you Mr Farmer for allowing us to be a part of your life on the farm. There have been so many things that we have seen. One thing springs to mind it was the magpie? trying to pluck the badgers tail so it could get to the bread!!!! Also the Buzzards and owls and deer on the valley cam can you remember those? Elaine

Elaine did you see the newest version of our buster tonight. He came hurtling into the middle of the feeding area and
started eating everything in sight. He was pushing all the other badgers out of his way. It was so comical. It brought back memories. Sue. Notts

Nice to see some old familiar names on the forum today, you forget who is/has been missing until they post. Julia its nice to hear from you again, loved the tales you used to tell about the wildlife around the airport. I think the weather here has beenthe same as Vickys it has been really miserable and dark here today and it got dark very early last night. Sorry no wild life sightings to report have just got in from work and getting tea ready. Will watch the badgers or valley cam tonight and try and post. I did watch the valley cam last night and saw a side view of a pigs snout in the tree. Here we go again with the tree and its powers.lol Elaine

Its a dark dank day here in derby, but one thing that brightened up my day was a great spotted woodpecker feeding the nuts in my garden this morning. We also regularly get goldfinches feeding on the nyjer seed as well as a song thrush that likes the sultanas i put out. We get quite a variety of birds for saying that we live quite near to the city. Vicky

Well, its nice to see things back to normal at Denbury - thank-you Mr. Farmer. I'll try to find some photos to share with you - and I'll keep a look out around the airport for anything unusual!!
I've been so busy lately, what with one thing and another and am now working really stupid hours - Chris and I now have our own taxis and work more or less opposite shifts in order to have one of us here with Mum most of the time. I'm the lucky one who starts at about 3:00am!! We still work from the airport, contracted to the same company, but now, as owner drivers we have more say in the hours we work. Oh, and much nicer vehicles!! Always clean!!
Looking forward to seeing more Diaries and Photos - thanks again, Mr. Farmer.

Thanks for another diary Mr Farmer, its good to know all the hard work you put in with the electric fence around the lake worked to keep the fox and otter out. You must've been so happy to see a full brood of goslings survive this year. Will try to find some photos if you are starting the gallery up again. Is it still info@denbury.co.uk to email them to?

Yesterday evening i was looking at the lake when one of the black swans swam up a group of coots ( i think) parted for the swan to get through then carried on in formation. the swan then settled right infront of the camera to preen itself. It was just as if it was saying yes I got the best spot to be seen lol. The birds are so graceful truly majestic. We have seen the swans at dawlish on numerous occasions. sue. notts

I have a look at Denbury Farm most days and enjoy reading the new Diary which must be very time consuming, but generates a lot of interest. For those of you who don't see their postings, the odds are that either the security number is incorrect, or as I just did, I hit the wrong key before I had even finished and it vanished.
