Sue n.notts thats great - I know Hunstanton very well as my parents lived at Heacham (opposite the Lavender Fields) until we brought them down to Kent to the retirement home. "Hunny" is a nice seaside town - a bit commercialized at one end, but the other end with the multi coloured cliffs is nice and there are some lovely unspoilt beaches all along that north Norfolk coast so you will have a wonderful time I know! RSPB Titchwell is along there and has some great hide views and walks, and watch for the hundreds of geese going over each morning and evening as they feed on the low tide and then come home to the fields in the evening. Big Skies and fabulous sunsets too - you lucky things!! Enjoy it all!...Jill(E)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELAINE!!
Like the rest of you I've been busy tidying up the garden and the house! I think I've got the 'spring cleaning bug' a bit late! Having a bit of a clear out, having ordered a new lounge carpet and panicking about the amount of stuff I need to shift before it comes!
Sadly haven't seen much of the cams this week, just popped in to have a quick look around of a morning, hoping to get back to some serious viewing next week.
Have a good weekend everyone

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELAINE!! Hope you have a lovely day - the weather seems to have turned warmer and sunny so at least you may be able to get out somewhere.
Karen, I didn't see the black cat but I have seen it before. But I did see the fox with the black tail last night as well as about 4 badgers feeding. The pine marten on SWT2 cam made an appearance about 6.30 a.m. this morning so too early for me to be up and about quite!
Sue.n notts have a great holiday in your caravan - I think the weather will be kind to you for this weekend at least! Where abouts are you travelling to? Or are you stopping off at different cam sites? We will all do our very very best to make sure this forum stays open so you don't have to worry! Have a safe trip, and Happy Friday everyone....Jill(E)

Happy Birthday Elaine, hope you have a wonderful day. There are 4 sheep in the valley, at this moment. Did any one else see the Large Black cat last night on the Badger, cam it was massive i shall be looking out for it now it was definitely a cat as it moved like one but it seemed to big to be a normal cat, or like i said last night it could have been the camera angle on it that made it look so large. 21: 37 i saw a Black cat walk across the screen towards the badger sett it looked a big one indeed and it was black. It looked to big to be a domestic cat unless its the peanut butter lol or maybe the lighting angle but it was big. Karen Stoke

Mr Farmer, I have just read on the news section of the Ranga site that the auroras have started again and they are expecting a very good winter. But the picture is not loading on the webcam, I left it for a few minutes but it still didn't load. Do you know if there is a problem with the camera?

Has anybody noticed the amount of ladybirds we've had this summer, they are everwhere. My hanging baskets look a bit tired and worn now, when I got one down to empty , it was full of ladybirds,so I've decided to leave them up a little longer even though they look a bit scruffy now.I've made a ladybird/insect hibernating box for them just need to put it somewhere a bit sheltered on the flowerbed.Nice to see the red sqirrel on swt cams.Wendy.West Yorks.

Yes Elaine I am unfortunately working as my boss is away sunning himself in Portugal again! But I did take advantage of the nice weather and had a walk along the river this lunchtime and saw ducks, swans and coots but nothing more exciting. Lucky you having a garden to potter in!
Some of the schools have gone back today - well maybe its what we used to call "first years" as I only saw young lads with over-large smart looking blazers and shiny shoes. I expect they are having an induction day before the rest of the schoolkids flood back either tomorrow or next week. Oh well, the end of a peaceful bus journey!
Hope this nice weather lasts over the weekend! Enjoy the day everyone....Jill(E)

Well I guess by how quiet the forum is everybody must either be in the garden or working. I must admit that I am gardening again today, but I am not so sure as to how much I will get done today as I am so stiff. Will go and have a quick look around the cams and then its back outside for me.Elaine

Hi Everyone

I was just checkcing the Uk news on the telegraph site and they have a lovely gallery of pictures. I believe it is "photo on Sunday natural britain winners". I found it from the UK news page. 13 lovely photos including a puffin, ducklings and an owl. Thank you so much Vicky for hosting the gallery for us it is very much appreciated.

I am so glad you like the rest of the photos. I just have an inexpensive zoom digital camera but it takes lovely photos, so I am hoping it doesn't break down.

Hopefully last day of heatwave today, has reached 41 each day with the humidex. Down to 19 by Saturday. It is strange here in Canada as we rarely get a long spring or fall. It seems to go from air conditioning in the summer to heat in the winter. This year we did get a nice spring but has been the hottest summer for a while.

We have our long weekend this coming weekend then the kids go back to school on the Tuesday. They have the whole of July and August off which I seem to remember is longer than your break.

Happy caravanning and holidaying for everyone Betty Canada
